Internal server error when performing SharePoint search
Problem
You get an internal server error when performing a SharePoint search.
Checking the ULS logs, you see a similar error message:

Solution
Restart the SharePoint Server Search 14 service.
- Start -> Run -> services.msc
- Locate the SharePoint Server Search 14 service and click on Restart.
